Hey there! I'm a bit worried about something. This board has two EPS connectors—one with eight pins and another with four. It's currently using an Xeon 2640 V3 with a 4+4 EPS setup from the PSU. I need to replace the PSU, and I'm unsure if I should buy one with two EPS connectors or just one would suffice. Thanks ahead!
Usually just one EPS connector is sufficient, though some might require more detailed adjustments. Generally, pushing LN overclocking significantly would be necessary to fully utilize two EPS connectors, as mentioned by @frozensun.
one is plenty. it's only an 8 core CPU, you don't need to worry about the second EPS connector unless you're overclocking a 20 core or something. As I recall 2011-3 CPUs didn't get into that realm
It really depends on the GPU and all the other components connected to @frozensun.
The top board remains valuable. It’s recommended to check the PSU tier list for higher-quality options.
RM650x offers excellent performance for this budget system. Do you agree?
