Hello. Just checking if this RAM will fit with my PC. I’m looking to purchase two sticks, each 4GB of DDR2 RAM. Here’s the link I found: https://www.ebay.com.au/... (the URL part). If it doesn’t work, I’m happy to explore other options on eBay or Amazon for 8GB DDR2 RAM with speeds over 1000MHz. Thanks!
The PC you're using isn't specified. For DDR2 to function, it would need an older model. DDR2 was found in some LGA775 systems, though they were already being replaced by DDR3. Many LGA775 boards still exist today. LGA775 is now largely outdated, and the most competitive builds are using DDR3 machines. I’m not aware of a DDR2 configuration that runs smoothly for gaming.
Checked the details online, but it’s quite old making data hard to locate. Found some HP manuals at the provided link, though. There seems to be an issue with memory limits—some sources state a maximum of 4GB.
