For 12400F yes, it's fine. If you think there's even a slim chance you're gonna upgrade in the future to a 12700 or something better, look at other boards. Hardware unboxed channel has a series of 3 videos where they review B660 boards focusing mostly on VRM and cpu performance on those boards, because there are boards that limit the performance of even a not so hungry end 12700 processor.
I believe the upcoming update will head to Raptor Lake, which means this board should perform well.
