I want to make sure I understand this clearly. Will the I5-9400F fit with an ASRock H310CM-HDV card right out of the box, without needing any BIOS update? I saw a YouTube video showing someone using these together and saying it worked fine, but another forum mentioned problems. I’m torn between what I read. I’ve spent a lot of time checking forums and getting mixed messages—some people say it’s fine even if the BIOS isn’t updated, while others can’t open the BIOS at all. I don’t want to spend money on another CPU just to update the BIOS. Also, I know some ASRock mobos have an instant flash feature, but I’m not sure if that would work here since my setup is similar to theirs. If instant flash is available, can I do it without a physical CPU? The ASRock page says it supports it, but I’m really confused. This information is confusing, and with both parts arriving tomorrow, I’m worried about making the wrong choice. Any advice would be a huge relief right now.

This page displays the CPU compatibility with the BIOS edition. It seems the board lacks a flashable BIOS when no CPU is present. Confirm the BIOS version for accuracy.

The motherboard comes with a current BIOS version, ensuring it functions properly right away. Otherwise, you can bring it to a nearby store for an update.
