Asus offers a more recent chipset driver than what AMD provides directly. The Asus page explains this difference, while the AMD site details their socket support for the X670E model.
Given the recent release, it seems AMD hasn't fully deployed the update yet on their servers. Typically, unless a driver fixes a significant issue, there isn't much urgency to push it out. It might also be that AMD is conducting additional testing before making it widely available. Alternatively, a bug could have been found in the new driver and removed until it was resolved, but Asus wasn't informed. Generally, motherboard manufacturers tend to update their platforms more slowly than AMD does. I recall being a bit behind at one point because I relied on MSI's updates instead of AMD's.
