I'm trying to decide on a CPU for my upcoming VR project, but I'm still unsure if the options I've chosen are suitable. The setup I have in mind is mostly set up, so I just need to think about the processor selection.

The build should function well in VR, but it's better to upgrade the CPU to the 1600. The additional $20 will provide 50% more cores. I managed to play VR games smoothly on a 1500X and RX480 with 8GB of RAM without any problems.
