I purchased a budget contact frame and a motherboard speaker both in July. After my first setup, I questioned my thermal paste application, so I re-applied it in November. That’s when I noticed a continuous long beep each time I booted up instead of the brief ones before. Overall, everything seems fine except for that persistent noise. My suspicion is that the second mounting caused excessive pressure, possibly due to the black foam compressing and increasing force. For reference, I use the longer end of the tool with just two fingers. Updated December 17, 2023 by leclod
