I received the remaining parts yesterday. A few problems popped up, including one RAM stick that wouldn't light up at all. I'm not looking for troubleshooting help—just want all four modules to activate. One DIMM isn't responding with any pattern and shows rainbow effects, which I'm okay with. It works perfectly for the 32GB module. MB: Asus Crosshair 8 Dark Hero RAM: Trident Z Royal 4x8 - F4-3600C14Q-32GTRSB. Windows prompted me to repair my OS after a new install, but everything looked fine on first boot. I updated the BIOS and installed Asus Armory Crate, which helped. I used it to set up drivers and played my first game just to check it out. It performed well. I explored RGB settings in Armoury and found it impressive. During Windows setup, I noticed the menu didn't show small icons properly. When I tried to shut it down, nothing happened—menus seemed unresponsive but the PC still booted. This triggered a repair request. After fixing, Armoury Crate was missing, Steam wasn't working, and Teamspeak was faulty. I had to reinstall everything. After installing Aura, RGB settings improved significantly. I realized DIMM 3 was faulty and had to reboot. Only three DIMMs displayed in Aura, then I restarted again. Now missing DIMM 4. Rebooted multiple times. The issue returned, pointing to a DIMM problem. I swapped 3 and 4, fixed it! Now I have 32GB RAM with RGB enabled. While playing a game, DIMM 3 failed again. I turned off/on RGB, shut down the PSU for three minutes, reinstalled Armoury and Aura, swapped DIMMs 3 and 4. The problem persisted, indicating a software issue. I thought about using G. Skills Software and installed Skill Lighting (though I forgot I had only one). I tried uninstalling it, Aura and Armoury via Windows, but nothing worked. I had to use Revo Uninstaller Pro and still couldn't resolve it after a full shutdown. Later, I swapped 3 and 4 again, and the issue followed DIMM 4. That's where I'm now—considering a fresh Windows install, maybe because some users flash DIMMs with SPD or re-binning. I'm okay with this RAM and will return it if needed. Thanks for your help!
All the memory modules are functioning correctly, so it seems the issue might be with the motherboard itself. An outdated BIOS version could be the cause, making an update a potential solution. Have you attempted to install and operate Trident Z Lighting Control?
It seems I faced some trouble after a few hours, and I couldn't restore it once I changed the DIMMs. Maybe the issue lies in having Armoury and Aura already installed, though I've seen mixed reports about their compatibility. Right now everything is completely removed.
Updated BIOS was already current, so it was reinstalled again. Restarted and rebooted multiple times. Swapped positions of 3 and 4, and now DIMM 3 is missing. Previously it was slot number 3 on the motherboard, but now it follows a specific order.
It might not be the RAM issue, but check if your CPU is installed properly. If a pin or group isn't connecting—such as when bent—it won’t allow full memory access. This shouldn’t happen unless it only supports single, dual, or quad channels. You could test the problematic stick in DIMM 3 and then in DIMM 4 to see if the system recognizes it. This might help determine whether the problem lies with the RAM or the motherboard.
On a different note, your Armory Crate displays each DIMM for the G.Skill RAM, but only shows "Memory" under the RAM section. I don’t have access to the specific software or customization tools for Armory Crate, and I can’t change the RGB settings for individual DIMMs.
