Changing my NAT type to Optimal within Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
I am presently unable to connect to the matched servers in the latest Call of Duty due to my network classification being categorized as moderate. I have already configured port forwarding for Call of Duty on both my router and firewall, which shouldn't be the cause. I consulted this website to determine the appropriate port forwarding settings: https://portforward.com/pace-plc/5268ac/ . I am utilizing McAfee antivirus software and attempted disabling the firewall as well, but that did not resolve the issue. The following ports are currently open: TCP: 3074,27014-27050; UDP: 3478,4379-4380,27000-27031,27036. What further steps should I take?
Grant access via your computer’s personal firewall, and also remove McAfee as a precautionary measure. Frequently, firewalls fail to disable correctly; the only reliable method of verification is to uninstall McAfee entirely.
To facilitate connection, please configure your local firewall to permit relevant traffic and completely remove McAfee software for verification purposes. It’s often ineffective to simply disable firewalls; complete removal is necessary to confirm their deactivation.
I haven't yet attempted this, but I experimented with another approach. I observed that UDP port 3074 was absent from my open ports—the port recommended by cod for identifying an open NAT situation. Upon enabling this port and subsequently attempting to launch Call of Duty, I encountered connection issues. However, reverting to the previously listed ports restored normal functionality with a moderate NAT type.
