Hey there, I’m facing a situation with my current laptop. It has a Ryzen 9 4900H CPU, and there’s a risk the motherboard might fail. If I decide to replace it, I thought this could be a chance to upgrade. I’d appreciate your advice on two points: 1) Are there other motherboards compatible with a Ryzen 9 4900H, or can they work together? 2) Should I consider the upgrade from a performance standpoint, especially since I mainly handle music production? I’m unsure if the best CPU is available right now. Thanks for your help!

They haven't made any adjustments internally between the different models. Additionally, the board will have the GPU and RAM permanently attached, making it likely you'll end up spending more on a new high-end laptop instead.

They need the newer boards to include the RAM; your existing RAM won't work on them. Let me know if you need further clarification.

The new boards need to include the CPU, GPU, and soldered RAM. However, this isn't an issue since swapping isn't possible.
