I’m considering replacing your Gigabyte X470 motherboard due to failing USB ports and overall instability. You’re thinking about upgrading to an MSI B550 at Best Buy, possibly opting for the 5600X while you’re there. Your current setup uses a 3700X and a 6600X graphics card, playing at 1080p on a 144Hz monitor. Would spending around $300 be a waste? You mentioned it’s unlikely to notice a big difference.

Absolutely, there won't be a significant change at all

Your graphics card shows only minor performance variations in most games, with noticeable impact only in other activities. For now, I'll hold off on a larger upgrade until you have more funds.

It seems you're likely GPU-limited in most games, making a 5600x upgrade less valuable. Others suggest saving funds for a stronger GPU later.
