Changing from Windows 10 to Windows 8.1 on a ROG laptop.
I made sure to note that the downgrade was mostly successful, everything functions well. Most Windows 10 drivers from the ASUS site worked on the updated version, except for the one labeled "Intel® Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Drive." I tried installing a different laptop model with an older driver version from the download page, and it all ran smoothly with proper updates. The only issue is the absence of an "end" key, which I’ll need to reattach to another button.
Note that assistance for version 8.1 stops on January 10, 2023. By then, you’ll need to move to Windows 10 or Linux.
