Changing boot drive from AMD to Intel support issues. Need guidance on resolving this.
I had a Z370 Strix motherboard with an Intel 8700. I brought my X570 board home using a 3900x. I changed my boot drive from Intel to AMD. I’m facing problems with drivers and Ethernet speeds. On my Intel machine, I was achieving up to 100 Mbps transfers to and from my NAS. However, my AMD board is only getting 10 Mbps. I uninstalled and reinstalled the LAN drivers, even after fresh Windows installation, but it didn’t work. My Intel PC still functions normally with proper transfers. I’m unsure why my AMD setup isn’t performing the same. I checked the cables—no faults there—and ran an internet speed test, which showed 1GB up and down through the network. My current guess is my SATA cable for the boot drive might be faulty. I’m not sure if there’s a simple test I can run, like installing software to check without reinstalling everything.
