I received my new motherboard and started the replacement process. The system had a B450 Tomahawk Max 2 with a fried DIMM slot. It runs a Ryzen 7 5700X, has a GTX 1070 GPU and an 850 PSU. After swapping it in, everything functioned normally until the lights and fans started spinning, then slowed down and eventually stopped. The VGA debug light appeared. I removed the GPU and tried again, but the same problem persisted. What’s happening?

To clean it, follow your specific instructions but generally check the manual. For guidance on Newegg, visit their website and search for the product details.

Examine the openings closely using a magnifying glass and light to verify nothing is inside, then confirm each pin is correctly positioned.

Inspect the PCIe slot for dust or debris. A VGA debug light could indicate a CPU connection issue with the GPU. Examine the CPU for bent or missing pins and reinsert it securely. If booting remains impossible, consider updating the BIOS. Refer to the manual for specific steps. Success is possible!
