I accidentally switched my BIOS boot options to UEFI without setting up the correct UEFI storage, and now my computer won’t start properly. I changed the secure boot option from “Other OS” to “UEFI,” but it didn’t work. I’m trying to figure out a way to fix this without reformatting anything.

I also removed the CMOS battery for an hour, and I plan to leave it out longer while unplugging the machine. It’s really stressful.

I just spoke with microcenter, they suggested I reseat my RAM. I attempted it, but it seems I made a mistake—it won’t even reach the BIOS when the orange light is on my MOBO. I’m not sure what to do next. I’ll let you know if I can get anything back up and working.

I’m uncertain about the exact details, but what I recall now is that I switched the boot setting to "Windows UEFI mode" instead of "Other OS." The "Secure Boot state" option was hidden, which prevented me from modifying it. I think it was turned off.

Typically, when secure boot is disabled, it suggests UEFI is active with BIOS/CSM support, indicating incompatibility with a standard GPT disk expecting a UEFI native BIOS. Is there a native UEFI setting available in your BIOS options?

I’d like to verify but my computer isn’t reaching the BIOS anymore, with an orange indicator on the motherboard, following a disappointing attempt to reinsert my RAM.

PCI Express Native Power Management=Disabled
And
AMI Native NVMe Driver Support=Enabled
Additionally, my "Secure Boot State" is set to User.
