Changed incorrect user admin rights
Changed incorrect user admin rights
I’m not clear on the full situation, but I was attempting to add another user with admin rights so I wouldn’t have to log in to my machine. I made a mistake and the user appears only after a restart (tries to log in for me) and keeps failing due to an incorrect password. I tried disabling the user to resolve it later. Another suggestion mentioned disabling it via PowerShell, which I did, or at least the account I believed was the one. Now only a non-admin user shows up, not on my desktop, and I don’t have all my programs on that account. I can identify it now in File Explorer (though I’m not sure). I booted into safe mode as the admin to check if I could run PowerShell, but I couldn’t use the Enable-LocalUser command. I also shared this issue on Microsoft’s support forum.
