You're just starting to understand UEFI and secure boot now—that's great! Your setup looks solid with Windows 10 and BitLocker. Since your motherboard defaults to secure boot, disabling it won't affect your current Windows installation unless you're installing a new OS. Booting from another drive should work fine as long as the drive is formatted correctly and has the right permissions. Just make sure the new Linux installer gets access to the correct partition and that you're not interfering with any bootloader settings.

Turn it off now; it will function properly afterward.

Failed sadly, had to reinstall Windows. Luckily I already had a flash drive with Windows 10 from before. After turning off secure boot it wouldn’t recognize the drive as bootable. Now I’m free from that annoying secure boot and can install any OS on any drive.
