i have 2 monitors and one of them does not detect that it is 1440p unless i open nvidia settings and tell it so each boot yes i have hit save to x config but it still resets on logon how do i stop this

The issue is that xrandr doesn't recognize a 1440p display even though it isn't being set manually in NVIDIA settings, and this setting isn't being saved.

Use the appropriate command to specify the desired display mode. Set the refresh rate to 55 Hz as recommended. Refer to the Ubuntu handbook for further guidance on custom screen resolution settings.
