Hey there, I never actually tried speeding up my RAM before & I'm just wondering if I did it correctly. Basically, I bought some RAM rated for 2666 MHz along with a Ryzen 5 1600 AF processor without knowing how much the Ryzen likes faster stuff. The RAM came with an XMP setting of 16-16-16-35, and I did my best to figure that out. I used the calculator for Ryzen and got it set to 3000 MHz at 16-18-18-36 while keeping the voltage at 1.2v. My question is - is this safe and does it help? Thanks!

Actually it hit about 3200 ms at 16-18-18-36 at 1.35. Is that a good improvement? On the temperature part, when not playing, both sticks are around 40 to 41 degrees and during gaming they go right up to just under 50 degrees. Is this safe? Thanks for double posting.

Under 50C it's fine, but under 45C is better. You could put extra fans in your case.
