You received a Samsung Evo 750 and wanted to move your Windows copy. Since you only have a Windows 7 disc, there’s no direct way to transfer Windows 10 from 7 to 10 without reinstalling. You might need to use a bootable USB with Windows 10 or explore alternative methods like recovery media. Merry Christmas!

Windows 10 identifies your hardware, so simply get the Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft. Make a bootable USB or CD, then install it. It should start activating on its own.

Sure, I can try that instead. It’s a way to create a new backup using the reset option, which you often use for a clean copy on your hard drive. This should keep your SSD as your primary storage.

You must generate a bootable CD or USB. Just use an 8GB storage device.

Your Windows 7 key should still function on Windows 10, but verify compatibility with the new version's requirements.
