Hello, I switched to 10Gb networking and noticed my unmanaged 2.5Gb switch failed. I have 10Gb ports to my NAS (trunas scale). Currently I’m using an old 8-port managed switch for now. I need a replacement or upgrade—something with at least 8 ports that’s managed. I want VLAN support (802.1Q) and should be reachable via a web-based management tool, not a phone app. A simple web interface would be ideal and affordable. Also, I’m looking for a managed switch around 1Gb speed instead of 10Gb. Please let me know what you recommend.
Are you considering a 1G or 10G managed switch? I’ve been using the Netgear XS512EM for a while now. It’s not inexpensive, but it supports 10G speeds, has a local management interface, and has performed reliably for me. You can usually find it on sale or at lower prices through other authorized sellers.

Thanks for the details. I placed an order for the product at the provided link. It’s perfect since it doesn’t require cloud setup and supports VLANs. The link aggregation works well, especially if Proxmox is compatible. I own a compact Proxmox machine with two NICs—no extra space available (it’s a Dell OptiX 3060). My current setup uses direct 10Gb connections via cheap cards to my PC and NAS. A 10Gb switch isn’t necessary for this configuration. Quick note: the price came up around $65 USD, and I won’t need any more cables or adapters. I already have a collection of various RJ45 Ethernet cables (Cat5/Cat6) in a bag.
