Microsoft has started placing ads in search results labeled as recommendations. It seems there’s no obvious way to turn them off. You’ve already disabled ads in the start menu and tried switching to a classic shell, but sometimes the Windows search helps when the regular shell doesn’t. TL;DR – how do I hide these search suggestions?

Settings > Personalization > Start and disable "Show suggestions occasionally in Start". If you're relying on the old Classic Shell, consider switching to Open Shell for a more current experience. Essentially the same feature, just with ongoing improvements.

You're accessing a classic web interface at http://www.classicshell.net/. OpenShell primarily changes how you interact with the system by providing a graphical shell environment, allowing you to run commands, manage files, and explore the system's capabilities through a more intuitive interface.
