I'm connected with Bell Canada and understand the modem is limiting our connection. Would it be possible to disable the WiFi on the modem and connect a router via its Ethernet port? I'm considering this router: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01N57V...EEQB&psc=1

For the router with gigabit switches, switch to bridge mode. Consider a mesh setup if budget allows. The TP-Link Deco M5 offers solid value at that price, providing three stations.

I'm currently working on the router and have been using it for three months on my 500/500 network. It connects wirelessly to the downstream devices, while still maintaining a stable 250/250 connection. The built-in antivirus from Trend Micro is sufficient. You don't need to interact with a web console since everything is managed through an intuitive app, and it's quite affordable. 10/10 recommendation!
