Change Intel UHD graphics to video output by adjusting system settings or using BIOS options.
I own a Dell system pre-assembled with an i5 8400 and GTX 1050. I understand the i5 includes its own integrated graphics and can serve as the main video source, but whenever I remove the GPU it fails to appear. I also attempted to configure Intel as the primary video controller, though results remain unchanged. Please be aware that my display only supports DP and VGA, and the motherboard uses HDMI, so I’m connecting via a DP-to-HDMI cable.
HDMI to DP connections require an active converter. The standard cables or adapters available for both directions only function in reverse.
