So... when I switch between my main and secondary monitors while playing a game, the performance drops significantly. It hasn’t happened before, but now it does. I think it might be because the system prioritizes the active monitor, even though my PC can handle it. I’m not sure if there’s a way to stop this behavior or if I should just avoid switching. My graphics card is an RTX 4070 with 1.6 GHz, and I have a 1440x165Hz display on the main screen and a 1080p monitor at 65Hz.

No, CS:GO does not offer a setting to adjust the FPS cap based on focus status.

I realize now it wasn't just about CSGO—it applies to many games, and I only played CSGO after that event occurred.

Check if it runs in full screen. If yes, you can only switch both games to borderless fullscreen mode. This will put more strain on your device, so verify that the game settings support maximum performance even when not focused.

the game runs without borders in fullscreen mode, but it might not work properly when you switch to tab view
