I mentioned it treats both headphones and speakers together, even if the headphones are on the front panel. Being a 2-in-1 doesn’t seem to affect this. I only use a USB mic, but it still recognizes another one. Why would that happen?

Blue port is meant for 5.1 setup...for a 2.1 system, plug it into a green jack, and the same applies to headphones.

Speakers are linked to the mobile interface port on the green connector. The headphones are plugged into my front panel jack and now perform poorly. I updated the drivers, and both devices are functioning simultaneously. I still need to switch them off manually.

I’ll need to examine this closely and run some tests with my configuration... try to replicate your issue. The green port on the motherboard and the jack on the front case are actually connected together, both coming from the Realtek audio chip. Typically one is active while the other is off... it’s unusual for them to work simultaneously. Do you still see the arrow with the drop-down menu for selecting output, speakers, or headphones? EDIT: I found methods online to enable both at once, which seems to be what happened here. Your headphones should appear as another device in the Playback menu... perhaps it’s missing. In the Control Panel, right-click Playback and ensure there’s a checkmark next to Show Disabled Devices. Does your headphones show up? You want your speakers set as the default device. Your headphones should be set as the default communication device. Under Recording, Stereo Mix should be disabled, which is fine. Your USB microphone is correctly set as the default device too.

Sorry, it seems you're having trouble with your device. The arrow disappeared after the second reboot following a driver update, which might indicate a problem with the driver installation. Could you provide more details for further assistance?
