You're starting from scratch with Linux and using a desktop setup. It sounds like you're trying to run a web app via your remote desktop, but the Chrome install isn't working as expected. It might be related to the desktop environment you chose or how it's configured. Check if your app needs specific settings or permissions enabled in Xrdp, and ensure your remote desktop connection is stable.

Chrome is likely active, but it isn't running on the screen that Xrdp is using. You can check if Chrome is running in htop or through any system monitoring tool available for XFCE. It's recommended to launch Chrome via the command line with the --temp-profile option.

It isn't working at all. The app isn't showing up, it doesn't appear on other desktops, and it isn't listed in the resource manager of my VPS. It could be that I'm running it with a root account. After reinstalling, I tried launching it from the terminal and encountered a no sanbox supported error.

The screen is being directed to the incorrect location. Chrome also does this when employing x-forwarding on OpenSSH. I noticed this earlier. Searching online will reveal various solutions you can try via command line. I suggest using Firefox instead. I experienced no issues with Firefox over a network connection.
