Cleaner is a simple utility for removing unwanted items from your system. However, it seems it struggles to properly clean the Temp folder. I usually delete leftover files myself, but not because a program was running at the time. Keep in mind: avoid using registry tools. Besides offering no real advantages, it might cause hidden issues that only become apparent during a service update or Windows upgrade (for example, moving from Windows 7 to 8). Unless you're addressing a specific registry-related problem, it's best to skip this step.

Yup, weekly. And sometimes when I need to do manual reinstall on some annoying program. Despite what @ GoodBytes says there isn't any quarantee that doing registery fix will harm system. I have done it everytime I do other cleans and it hasn't break anything. But if you are worried about it, do it only after you change your main media player or image editor. Its nice way to remove old file extension associations.

I previously worked with Glary Utilities, but upon learning about CCleaner I immediately moved over to it. It’s really helpful and I use it once a month.
