Hey Everyone Ok this is driving me insane! this is my build: Mainboard: Asus PRIME B450M-A CPU: Ryzen 2700 Ram: 2x16 Geil Evo Potenza 3200 DDR4 (1.35v) GPU: MSI Armor OC RX580 8 Gb PSU: 500w 80 Plus Gold Rating (i'm not listing the brand because it's local but it is what it states it is) The system works fine when D.O.C.P. is off (even with and overclocked CPU) and As the title says when I enable D.O.C.P. in my Bios the system won't boot. here's a list of what i tried so far: 1. enable D.O.C.P. with my CPU at stock and not overclocked=no boot, need to turn off power supply and let the PC boot into safe mode to access bios. 2. disabling D.O.C.P. and enter the ram speed, timings, voltage manually=no boot, if it posts it will get stuck on ASUS logo. 3. swapping ram stick's place with each other with both 1 & 2 results in the same things. 4. bumping up the voltage to 1.37-1.4 boots the system but it's VERY unstable (I didn't dare to to go any higher). 5. removing one stick and using single channel boots the system but it's unstable (1.35v or higher). 6. overlocking the CPU to 3.8 and all the 1-5 above result are the same. 7. enabling D.O.C.P. and bumping the speed down to 3000 results in random crashes every 3 hours or so (sometimes more, sometimes less). but when it's working and it's not unstable. 8. swapping the ram seats from A2, B2 to A1, B1 results in the same things. 9. Hitting my head against the wall didn't solve anything. Please note that I have updated my BIOS to last version, and I've tested the memories (at 2133) in memtest86 and all is well. this memory is NOT in the QVL list (TBH I never knew that was a thing until i needed to research this peoblem, but the last system that i built was a Haswel 4770k and memories were at 1600 speed then) The thing is i know a lot of you would say that just change the rams but where I live it's not that easy and i might not be able to do that. Guys sorry for the long post and if anyone could help i would very much appreciate it. BTW sorry English is not my main language Cheers

I actually have this board. (wife's rig) It sucks for memory overclocking, I'll be straight forward there. First, update bios if not already. Increase the SOC voltage, 1.1v-1.2v. Disable Gear Down Mode Disable Power Down mode Increase Memory voltage to 1.410v. Enable DOCP, but manually set the frequency to 2933mhz (or lower until you get a good post) On a good post at a lower frequency, test. If good, go to 3000mhz and test again.

If you can't use 3200, reduce it to 3000. If not possible at 3000, discard the memory and board and consider replacing them.

That's what I first tried, but it doesn't solve the issue... if things were ideal, I'd have gone all in with the thrash and restocked again, but this has already cost me two months of my paycheck.

Thanks! It worked at 3133 MHz. I have a quick question: For this frequency, changing the DRAM voltage to 1.5V and SOC voltage to 1.2V seems necessary. Is this safe, or should I revert to 1.41V and 1.175V?

They're secure yet not perfect. I'd opt for 3000mhz with roughly 1.0-1.1V SOC and 1.35-1.45V DRAM.
