The system runs smoothly with the current specs. Your setup seems stable overall. The issue appears to be related to BIOS settings or RAM configuration. After replacing the RAM, ensure it matches the correct specifications and try resetting the CMOS. If the problem persists, consider checking for firmware updates or consulting a professional.

Have you experimented with the second 16GB RAM configuration and replaced it with the original 16GB before switching to the second set?

Check each stick separately to ensure it functions properly. Reset the CMOS settings and connect four sticks if successful. Activate XMP support when it works. If everything operates smoothly, you’re good. Otherwise, your CPU may struggle managing four sticks at 2666 MHz.

Intel's ARK for the i7-6700K indicates a maximum supported frequency of 2133MHz. Pushing it to 2666MHz could strain the processor and lead to crashes.

Not very confident about CPU overclocking, I haven't delved into that area myself.
