Upgraded 12600kf to 5700x3d, the current mobo is gigabyte b550m k.
Last time I shut down the PC with the old CPU, there was a Windows update, but I ignored it and just turned it off. Now I got the CPU again. When I first boot, it goes to the BIOS screen, restarts a few times, then stops. It switches resolution to Windows One, says updating, then a black screen appears. It mentions that signing in sequence can’t be initialized on Windows, and after that it enters BIOS but when it should load Windows, the monitor turns off and the fans go up to 100%.
Has anyone experienced this before? I’m hoping the Windows update caused the issue and it’s not a hardware problem. I don’t have a Windows USB right now, but I’ll get one tomorrow.

You switched from an Intel board/CPU to an AMD board/CPU without reinstalling Windows. How did you get it running after changing the motherboard or CPU? Was it activated at all?

After installing Windows, it sets itself up for the hardware it’s installed on (which was originally Intel). You’re wondering if a system built for Intel can boot normally on an entirely different platform like AMD. Plus, all chipset drivers in Windows are tied to an Intel board, not your new AMD one, and the device drivers for things like audio or LAN won’t match either.

If I had made such a big change, I would have reinstalled Windows from scratch. I recommend you do the same.
