cant open bios
cant open bios
I'm using a second-hand PC, it's my first one, and I can't get into the BIOS. I tried repeatedly pressing F2/F10 and deleting, but nothing works. The motherboard is a Z370 HD3P by Gigabyte. I've seen videos suggesting turning off fast startup, but that doesn't seem to help. I don't even see the motherboard logo before seeing the Windows logo. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
To access the BIOS on a Windows 10 system, begin by opening Settings. Reach it through the Start menu’s gear icon. ... Choose Update & Security. ... From there, pick Recovery. ... Under Advanced startup, select Restart Now. ... After that, go to Troubleshoot and then Advanced options. Select UEFI Firmware Settings. ... Finally, click Restart.
This system was not originally assembled. You mentioned purchasing it used, but it appears to be a branded model.
Someone else created it. I saw a site saying if you're using Bios mode on legacy mode, it won't work. It doesn't explain how to fix it, which is confusing. I need to switch from MBR to GPT, but that could risk damaging my drive. What should I do?
