I made a bootable pendrive with the MBR, but the computer isn’t starting from it. The USB appears in BIOS, yet the system won’t boot. My machine is an R5 1600 MBO 3600M with Gigabyte AB350M DS3H.

You might choose MBR for compatibility reasons, but it’s better to stick with UEFI. For UEFI systems, set BIOS to UEFI only or UEFI & CSM/legacy. Creating the USB as a GPT file is recommended for UEFI booting instead of using MBR.

That's accurate. In the boot menu, you have the option to start from the USB drive using either UEFI or legacy settings, and similarly for hard drives.
