I just bought a PC for the first time. I used a RoG STRIX B550-F with WiFi and a Ryzen 5 3600, and came with a stock cooler already attached. Then I noticed my CPU ran at 55-65 degrees when it was sitting still. I tried turning up the fan speed but that didn't fix it much. I thought maybe it was just getting too hot because of overheat protection so I went into settings to turn "AI Overclock" off. But there is no setting to choose between low and high; it's stuck on auto. I can't actually switch it down manually and I'm really confused now! Can anyone help me figure this out?

If you wanted to damage the chip, you'd have to turn off overclocking. You're actually looking at standard turbo speed, where the processor runs slow unless something else tells it to go faster. With a Ryzen computer, that means...
