My computer system is getting worse over time. It started when my creative stage soundbar stopped working on Bluetooth. The bar would try to connect, but no sound went through. I had drivers updated and everything looked okay until now. Even the sound settings are set correctly. Now the soundbar won't work with either Bluetooth or AUX connections. I've tried changing drivers, reinstalling Windows, and swapping parts without success. At this point, I don't know what's wrong and think it might be an OS bug. This problem happens with other audio devices too, but they worked fine on my laptop. I can't figure out why. My system runs Windows 11 Home, uses a Ryzen 5 CPU, has lots of RAM and a solid drive, and the graphics card is getting warm. The speakers don't work when connected via Bluetooth or AUX because the cable broke. Even though audio software was updated to fix that part, Bluetooth still doesn't work.

Check if your new hardware works well on this laptop. Try right-clicking the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the screen when the menu pops up. Go through the troubleshooter first, then look at every other option that is there for checking audio settings. Just make sure to check all those sound boxes carefully, because sometimes you might miss one or two things if you just skim over them.

Did you try putting the BT adapter and sound bar on your laptop? I did, and it actually worked for me. But then I tried fixing things with a built-in repair tool called troubleshooter. That tool was useless because it just said everything is fine even though something wasn't working right.

Do you feel the BT adapter getting hot or even very warm? On your original computer, try using a different USB port. Also, use an extension cable to move the adapter away from the PC. This helps it send and receive data better and cools it down. Those little dongles get worse when they are hot over time. = = = = Try running "sfc /scannow" and "dism". I am not putting in a USB Bluetooth thing. I'm actually using a WiFi card. It is a Tplink AX 3000 wifi/bluetooth adapter card.

Is this card a smart TV or a speaker? It sounds like it's about whether the connection should use Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth.

Yes that is the card I am using. The sound bar is a Creative Stage 2.1 Speaker System model 51MF8360AA002, and it uses Bluetooth for connection. It connects to my computer via Bluetooth but does not play any audio while playing on my desktop. This same issue happens with all other Bluetooth sound devices I connect. However, when connecting those same devices to my laptop they work fine right now. Currently I have the soundbar connected via AUX and that works, so I am trying to fix the Bluetooth problem.
