Cant get ram stable
Cant get ram stable
So here’s what I have: a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8Gb RAM DDR4 for the Ryzen CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16, an Asrock B450m Pro4 motherboard. I assembled the PC in September and only adjusted the XMP profile to 3200MHz. After that, issues began—random crashes during games without error messages, and a couple of BSODs about system services. I lowered the MHz in the settings and updated the BIOS on the Asrock site. I’ve tried overclocking the RAM with the Ryzen program, but it still fails to maintain 3200MHz consistently. It shuts down multiple times after changing timings, returning to the default 2666MHz speed. Any advice for this setup?
Which Windows 10 release are you using? Disconnect the CMOS battery for a minimum of 15 minutes before reinserting it. Once in BIOS, enter the settings manually for timing, frequency, and voltage. It would also be advisable to downgrade to BIOS version 3.5 if your system is running version 3.9.
The Windows 10 version I'm using is Pro 1909 with a BIOS that was updated to 3.5 mine old, which is 3.3. I removed the battery for about a minute and tried overclocking, but it keeps shutting down and booting to 2666MHz. I think my overclock settings might be incorrect. The issues I'm facing are not finding cLDO voltages and my CAD_BUS options always end with Drvstrenght instead of just Drv. Also, if I haven't selected the XMP profile, I can't manually adjust the timings. I'm wondering how to set the overclock without using XMP. I might have made a mistake. Thank you again.
