Hi there, I'm totally new to network stuff and got stuck on something. I have three LAN ports sticking out of my wall. Two are near the TV, so I plug my TV box and PlayStation into them and they work great. The third one is by my desk, but when I try to plug in my PC, nothing happens at all.

I tried swapping it with the other two ports just to see if the cable was the issue or if my PC didn't like it, and that worked fine too. I also took out the wall port and checked every single wire; they all look okay inside. Honestly, I don't even know how these things work since I've never tried it myself.

I haven't tested for voltage because I don't have the right tools to do that without breaking something. Maybe this port isn't meant for a PC? Or maybe it's supposed to be used with a router instead of direct connection, but I'm not even sure what that means since I know nothing about networking. Thanks so much if you can help!

Have you looked at where the other side of the wire goes inside the wall? Is it plugged into a switch or a router instead?

I discovered some internet ports that didn't connect to my main router, so I tested each one separately and they all worked. Thanks a ton!
