Hey everyone. I purchased a builders kit that came with: ROG Maximus Z690 Hero, Intel i9 13900K, 4 x Corsair Dominator 16GB DDR5 RAM. At first, everything worked fine and the PC booted up easily. After some time, it started freezing occasionally and wouldn’t recover. Now I can’t boot at all when all four RAM sticks are active—only when dimming A1 does it work. Removing just three of the RAM modules fixes the problem completely. I think there might be a BIOS setting I need to adjust, but I’m not sure what. I’ve already turned on High DRAM Voltage mode in Extreme Tweaker. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check all four slots without using XMP. Verify each slot works. Once confirmed, test after installing the first RAM stick. Then proceed to install the remaining RAM sticks one at a time.

If slot A1 isn’t functioning, it’s likely a connection problem between the CPU and the motherboard socket. Take out the CPU and inspect the socket for any bent pins. If none are present, reinstall the CPU carefully and avoid applying too much force to the cooler, as this can cause similar issues.

Hey everyone, thanks for the advice. I've tried all four RAM sticks in every position, and the system will restart if any are not in A1. The CPU looks fine—no damage or bent pins. I had the motherboard checked by the supplier under warranty, and they confirmed it works with two sticks in any setup. Could this mean the CPU is faulty? Are there quick ways to test it without waiting another two weeks?

I had my components checked by a nearby expert. It turned out the problem was a RAM module I had installed. Although it functioned properly in the other slots, it didn’t integrate well with them. Thank you for your assistance.
