Hi everyone, I've observed some issues with my Windows setup. Each time I power on my PC, it takes up to 30 seconds in the BIOS, and basic actions like opening a folder don't highlight properly. I've also noticed it's been two months since the last security update, and other updates aren't installing correctly. When prompted to restart for an update, I receive error messages like "update failed to install" or "some updates were not installed." I've tried resetting the update component, manually updating from the Windows Download Catalogue, and restoring a restore point from three months ago. My system is still working but I'm hoping to avoid a full OS reinstall. Let me know if you can assist with this. Thanks!

You may consider reinstalling the system. The ISO for FCU/1709 is available for download, and an in-place upgrade can be performed.

Reinstalling would delete every document and information. You might test an in-place upgrade from version 1703 to 1709 to determine if it resolves the issue.

Avoid saving anything. Check the media tool first. Always make a backup before proceeding.
