It’s possible to create your own phone system at home without paying extra fees. Since you don’t have a traditional landline, using two VOIP phones can work well. You’ll need to set up the devices and configure them through your internet service provider or a VoIP service. It can be an interesting project if you enjoy tech and networking!

I think this approach has been explored before with phone products that integrate via Google Voice online, though I believe you might need an adapter to connect before using your devices. Which VOIP phone model are you considering for this project?

I believe they might be Cisco 7941 devices but I'm not certain. I can't verify the exact model. You're trying to connect them on either side of your home without using a phone adapter, and you want to avoid making external calls. Is there a method to set them up that doesn't require any additional hardware?

Typically you require a call control module for devices such as callmanager express on an iOS router.

You can pair two IP phones with freePBX and link them through the platform. This channel offers numerous tutorials on using freePBX here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVS6ejD...zjw/videos
