Hi there everyone. I'm curious if it's feasible to overclock an i5 6400 with a gigabyte z170x gaming 7 motherboard. If it's possible, could anyone share the steps or tips? I've never done overclocking before, so your advice would be really appreciated. 😊

You can definitely overclock your 6400 processor.
Download the BIOS from the provided link.
Your i5 6500 currently runs at 4.6 with a voltage of 1.43V.

yes, i noticed that non-K cpus can be overclocked using a z170 motherboard

Just the older generations could handle it by setting up custom BIOS, but Intel stopped doing that in newer models :/
