I already moved the Start button to the left, but I want to push the Power button all the way to the far left so it sits directly above where I have my mug photo. It is just too much work for me to move the mouse across 7 inches of space just to get to that power-off button.

There is now a right-click menu on the start bar. When you hover your mouse over the desktop, it shows two options: shut down or sign out. You don't even need to move your button; just click and select what you want. If you still think this isn't enough, try using another shell. Other start menus in that might have this choice too. You could make a shortcut on taskbar with the command shutdown /s /t 0 in the command line.

There is now a right click menu on the start screen. You can shut down or sign out by moving your mouse just above the icons that sit in between them. It feels easier because you don't have to move much, but if you really want what you need, you might need another shell. Other menus inside might have this choice too. You could make a shortcut on the taskbar with the command shutdown /s /t 0 right in the command line. Here are other ways to shut down Windows 11: use the taskbar, keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl+Alt+Delete, click the Power button, go to the Power User Menu, choose Shutdown from the command line, find a shortcut on your desktop, or start from the Sign-In screen.

If the computer is close by and you just want the power button for a quick task, you can set that up so the button does what you need it to do.
