If you need more than 128GB or 1TB, I recommend choosing the 1TB SSD only. Keep the larger capacity for your operating system, drivers, school applications, and essential programs, then add the 1TB NVME drive for gaming. You're free to repurpose older hardware. If you don’t require over 500GB plus 2TB of storage, opting for 1TB offers better performance. A 500GB SSD won’t support many games well, though you can still use it for the 1650S. The 1650S supports 1080p at around 60fps in most titles, but lacks high refresh rate capabilities. In competitive titles like CS:GO, Overwatch, Valorant, or Rainbow Six Siege, it easily reaches 144Hz+ on lower settings.
