I received two Igel D220 think clients for free at a nearby electronics recycler. The setup includes a 2GB SSD, 2GB RAM, and a basic Intel Atom E3815 processor at 1.46GHz. These aren't heavy machines, but I was hoping to run some simple applications in the garage. The main problem is that they won’t post anything. Nothing appears on the screen even though I’ve tried various solutions I found online. I can press any keys, mouse, or keyboard, but nothing happens. I’m reaching out because you might have experience or better search options. So far, I’ve checked those links and tried everything without success. https://www.parkytowers.me.uk/thin/Igel/ud/ud2/D220/ https://www.parkytowers.me.uk/thin/Igel/...ware.shtml http://xtl.kapsi.fi/blog.2016-05-25.Debi...lient.html https://kb.igel.com/igelos-11.06.210/en/...82675.html https://kb.igel.com/igelos-11.06.210/en/...82085.html https://kb.igel.com/igelos-11.06.210/en/...82675.html I should note that the machine requires a 12V 3A power supply or charger. I don’t have the original, so I’m using a 12V 1.8A one. I’m pretty sure this isn’t the issue since the power supply isn’t overheating even after hours of use and I can see it’s turning on normally with the front LED indicating power on. I also tried booting with a 12V 1A charger, and it seems to be working fine.

Your issue might involve any of the following: hardware problems, missing Intel drivers, known motherboard compatibility issues with a 32-bit BIOS and 64-bit CPU, or something else. I’m not familiar with Igel OS, and that’s okay. Apologies for any confusion.

These budget computers usually last a long time. They power up easily and include RAM and an SSD (a 2GB SSD for just $40 – see the link). I think they’re fine. Just don’t know what to do to reset them or get video output, especially on the Igle OS, so it’s hard to fix things. Probably ends up being another piece of e-waste.
