I can open BIOS and check that the CPU clock is at 100. I also see the DRAM frequency and P-State settings.
I want to adjust my computer overall so it runs games at medium settings. I’m thinking about overclocking the RAM if possible and the CPU. I’m just worried I might mess things up because I don’t really know much about computers.
CPU model: AMD a8-7600
motherboard: hihi biostar 170u3p

Before attempting to overclock, it's important to conduct further research. You must feel assured about your actions before trying this. Understand the voltage limits and know when to halt further adjustments.
I only found an article about an A70u3p board (https://www.techporn.ph/biostar-hi-fi-a7...rd-review/) which might not be exactly your model, but it contains some sections on possible overclocking options for the board. Without seeing the BIOS interface, I couldn't verify anything definitively, though it could assist in discovering any hidden overclocking features on your system.
I'm just looking to go a bit further than my usual limits. I need only a small boost in performance so I can play mid settings in Dota 2. What would you like me to do to help? The motherboard and BIOS are exactly the same as yours.

I’m mainly looking to boost performance slightly so I can play mid-level Dota 2. What would you need from me to assist? The link shows my motherboard is exactly the same as yours. The BIOS screenshot matches mine perfectly.
