I'm using two 8GB Crucial CT8G4DFS8213 DDR4 sticks at 2133 MHz with a B350 PC MATE motherboard. I understand that Ryzen CPUs may not handle certain RAMs well, especially at higher speeds.
But let's ignore the CPU for now.
Are these RAM modules strong enough to be overclocked?
It seems likely that faster RAMs usually come with heatsinks and better PCB designs (or SPDs).
My units don't have a heatsink.
I'm familiar with OC concepts, XMP settings, and memory performance tests on motherboards, but I haven't done any overclocking before.
Do you have any advice?

It appears that few people have increased the overclock of any bulk RAM, right?

Yes, it can easily overclock to 2400. Beyond that it's not advised.
