A few months back I bought my girlfriend a mid-range gaming PC. I wasn't very experienced at this and didn't realize until later that the motherboard was a micro. It's the Gigabyte GA-B85M-HD3 mATX LGA1150, and it only cost $80. I learned from others that the R9 270 GPU performs better when overclocked. Can I still overclock it with this board? I'm really worried about it.

It's just that in a Newegg review, someone mentioned:
"Amazing, the manual and BIOS contains ALL the OC setup features, but GTS Global Services states (Answer - 1447131) this board is NOT designed to overclock."
They hope Gigabyte will replace it with one that supports overclocking and remove all OC indicators from the manual and BIOS!
This contradicts what the manual and BIOS say about it!"

That refers to CPU overclocking with "K" series CPU, while the graphics card doesn't depend on that.

GPU overclocking stands alone from the motherboard and depends on a reliable power supply.

They suggest hoping Gigabyte will replace it with one that supports overclocking and remove all OC indicators from the manual and BIOS!
They also point out the contradiction between the manual/BIOS description and the actual product.

Contrary to what the manual and BIOS say, it's about CPU overclock with "K" series CPU. The graphics card doesn't depend on that!
