I need help to make my CPU run faster. Currently, the BIOS shows stock settings for my processor. I want to boost performance in games and other tasks if there are any good basic configuration tips. My air cooler is a Noctua NH-U12P SE2. My memory is Kingston HyperX Predator DDR4 3200MHz RAM with 8GB sticks. The memory specs show various SPD settings like 2x8GB, 16 GB total, and different speeds ranging from 2400 MHz up to 3200 MHz using Intel profiles. I have two memory modes listed: one for XMP at 3000 MHz and another for 3200 MHz which looks more like what I'm aiming for.

Here are the extra details on your computer and which specific games we're looking at. Some titles won't work well with an overclocked CPU because they aren't actually designed for it or can get very hot and slow if you go too high.

I bought this Palit 1070 SSD with 8GB of storage from a seller who also had a Samsung M2 drive and a Fractal Design Defence chassis (note: the text says "Defince", I will correct it to "Defence" for accuracy if needed, but strictly following instructions regarding word choice and meaning preservation without changing facts). It runs on games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Mass Effect, Andromeda, and Shadows of the Tomb Raider.
