Can you find a way to move software to another drive, keeping Windows on one while storing other files elsewhere?

Direct the installers to the specific spots for each application. Today's programs usually provide a tailored installation area.

The video shows a video editor altering the 'C' in a drive sequence. What do you think of that approach?

I installed it on my PC and laptop without problems, except during updates. The updater navigates through the registry you configured (for example, D) and looks for the Windows folder in drive D, which is still under C. You’ll need to change the registry path to C each time an update occurs.

Already completed that task, but now it isn't functioning properly—when you click on the software it only loads without opening Regedit.

Why would you change registry configurations for a different installation location? Just follow the prompts and select the desired drive.

Sure thing. Here are a few alternatives to begin regedit: clicking the Windows icon and searching for regedit, or opening Command Prompt and typing regedit.

The setup file should consistently use the same directory path, or it may only work for one application.
