I'm sorry, I didn't know where to post this.
To clarify, I want the option to record a sound and play it back through my mic within 30 seconds. After searching online, I couldn't find a solution. I have voicemeeter, a virtual audio cable, and a soundboard. Is this even feasible?

this does not actually send the sound through your mic. You are merely distributing system audio to an input source. If enabled, simply play the sound via any audio player and it will reach the other side. For a simpler method, use a button—there is an audio option available.

A "mic" (microphone) functions as an input device. According to my understanding, it doesn't appear possible to send a signal back to it.

I have found a way to play sounds through my mic using a voice meter and a virtual audio cable. It seems I didn't make myself clear enough. My main aim is to record a deathcom in Call of Duty and play it in the lobby during half-time for a reaction. Instead of editing recordings to just the sound I want, I want to do it quickly.

the system audio isn't being played directly through your mic. instead, it's being sent to the input source. if enabled, you can share the system audio with any player software, which will broadcast it to the other side. for a simpler method, use an audio mixer console—like those streamers use—to run a macro and play the sound.

I believe this feature is available for games on Windows 10. Press the Windows Key + G to access the Xbox Game Bar. The option exists, even though I haven't used it before. Use a screen reader to capture your screen with Xbox Game Bar (microsoft.com). If you prefer no video, there are many free programs for that.
